SFF013015 - Digital Love

Hi Stampers:
It's Sketch Frenzy Friday time again!  Today, we have a cute sketch from Jennifer Kay:

I love flags on cards, so, of course, my card has flags on it.  Also, as you might know if you have visited my blog before, when I have run out of time to make a "real" card, I usually wind up making a digital card in MDS.  That's what I did this week.  Here is my card:
The colors are Real Red, Pretty in Pink, and Soft Suede.  The diagonal striped strip of DSP is from the Candy Cane Lane designer kit.  The two flags are the polka dot and script digital designer paper.  The hugs and kisses stamp set is from the All Holiday stamp brush set.  I colored the words in Real Red and the ampersand in Soft Suede.

Our other designers have great cards posted using this sketch, so hop on over to the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog and check them out!  We'd also LOVE to have you play along with us, so link up your creation on the blog.

Enjoy!

Sketch Frenzy Friday-I Love Strawberry Slush!

Hi Stampers:

Strawberry Slush is such a fun name for this color, and I love it!  It kind of brings to mind hot summer days, and cool, icy, slushy drinks to sip on a shaded porch!  Welcome to Sketch Frenzy Friday this week!  Wish I could have you over for a cool drink, but since I can't, I hope my card this week helps you envision sunny summer days!  Our sketch this week was created by.....ME, and here it is:
And here's what I did with it:
Recipe:
  • Strawberry Slush, Whisper White, Soft Suede cardstock
  • Strawberry Slush DSP from the 2013-2015 DSP pad
  • Strawberry Slush and Pistachio Pudding Stampin' Write Markers
  • Strawberry Slush 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Trim
  • Decorative Dots TIEF (free SAB item)
  • You're Lovely stamp set (free SAB item)
  • Pearls
Hope you enjoy this card!  Please check out all the designers' creations by going to our SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY BLOG.  Why not join us?  We love to see how you use our sketches!

Sketch Frenzy Friday--Springtime Vintage

Hi Stampers!

Another Friday, another sketch! That's right, it's Sketch Frenzy Friday again! Here's our sketch by Sharon Field:

And here's my MDS card of the sketch:

As you can see, I once again used the Springtime Vintage DSP in MDS. I also used the MDS Chat Room-Love stamp brush set, colored Rose Red, Seam Binding ribbon in Rose Red, the full heart punch in Rose Red, a Brad in Baja Breeze, and a button in Baja Breeze. The card base is Basic Grey, the first layer is Baja Breeze, and the second layer is one of the Springtime Vintage patterns. I really LOVE doing cards in MDS and I LOVE the Springtime Vintage DSP. I guess I should probably also try making some traditional cards with REAL DSP, ribbon, brads, buttons and Stamps!

I needed a Wedding Card!

Hi Stampers!

On Sunday, my sweetie and I will be attending an open house reception for the daughter of some good friends who recently got married. I don't own any wedding sets, so I decided to make a card in My Digital Studio and I will then print it on my home printer to give to Ali and her husband Phil. Here is my creation:

Using MDS allowed me to make a quick and easy card in approximately 10 minutes. I used one of the beautiful Summer Splendor background papers and overlaid another background paper in Rich Razzleberry on the bottom of the card. I then used the Curly Label punch image in two different sizes to create a layered look label. I made up my own sentiment and typed it on the top label in a script font from my computer. I also used a Rich Razzleberry bow to dress it up.

Sketch Frenzy Friday-9-17-10 Halloween is Coming!

Hi Stampers!

Well, it is just past the middle of September, and fall is definitely coming. And you know what that means--all those wonderful Fallodays! Starting with Halloween. I know it's a little early, but among stampers, it's not TOO early to start planning those Halloween projects. So that's what I did for this week's sketch. The sketch was created by Kathryne Knowles. Since I have been seeing so many Halloween cards on the web, I decided to create one also. Here is my card made with My Digital Studio. I followed the sketch pretty strictly except for the background paper. The card base is Basic Black. The DSP layer is from the Cast-a-Spell and it is Pattern 5. This DSP is only available in MDS. The circle on top of the DSP is in Daffodil Delight. The scalloped circle is Whisper White. The stamp image is Eat, Drink and Be Scary and the saying is from Pumpkin Patch. Both stamp brush sets are only available in MDS--they are retired as stamp sets. But that is the beauty of MDS--these stamp set images are available for ever! The witches hat image and the sentiment are both in Basic Black and the top layer of the modern label punch is Whisper White. The bottom layer is Basic Black. Sketch Frenzy Friday--A Little Late

Hello!
Yes it's Saturday, and yes I am a day late and a dollar short, as my mother used to say, posting my Sketch Frenzy Friday card. I was having issues with blogger and my computer on Thursday and Friday and didn't get it posted. I get frustrated when that happens, and I think it just makes it worse because my patience wears thin and then it seems to take twice as long to do anything.
Well, enough of that! Let's get on with the show. This week's sketch is courtesy of Angela Walters.

Here is my interpretation:

I used the wonderful Island Oasis DSP and the Island Party stamp set. The colors I used were right from the DSP--Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive. And I also used Chocolate Chip for the coconut drink. I stamped some flowers and cut them out, and also cut out two palm leaves from the DSP and I couldn't resist adding a strip of Old Olive 1/4" grosgrain ribbon at the bottom. What do you think of the diagonal placement? I also decorated the inside of the card:
