Sketch Frenzy Friday--I'm LOVING IT!!

Hi Stampers!

It's another SFF and have I got a BEE-YOO-TI-FUL card for you today! First our sketch created by Sharon Field:

I deviated a little bit from the sketch: turned it 90 degrees and I don't have two blocks in the middle---only one. But, I am SO HAPPY with how this turned out:

I used ALL NEW colors and some new accessories on this card--except for Very Vanilla cardstock--it's not new. My colors are: Daffodil Delight, Peach Parfait, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, and Early Espresso. The butterfiles and the sentiment are from a brand new set called Butterfly Prints. I used a new embossing folder called Vintage Wallpaper on the Daffodil Delight card front and the dotted embossing folder (the name escapes me right now) on the square of Very Vanilla cardstock underneath the butterflies. One of the stamps in the set is the butterfly body and I stamped the body on all the butterflies, but when I punched them out with the butterfly punch, the antennae got cut off, so they look a little wierd! The three butterflies in the set are stamped with Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz, and Blushing Bride on Very Vanilla cardstock. the sentiment, which is also in the set, is stamped with Early Espresso on Very Vanilla cardstock and punched out with the scalloped oval punch, and layered on a piece of Peach Parfait cut with the scalloped oval die in the Movers and Shapers die set. I also used our NEW pearls in the upper right corner. These pearls have adhesive on them, so they are easy to stick where you want them to stick! I think the colors scream SUMMER and I love the combination I created! Hope you do, too!

And here's what I did:

Once again I used My Digital Studio (MDS) and it was EASY PEASY! Sketch Frenzy Friday--A Little Late

Hello!
Yes it's Saturday, and yes I am a day late and a dollar short, as my mother used to say, posting my Sketch Frenzy Friday card. I was having issues with blogger and my computer on Thursday and Friday and didn't get it posted. I get frustrated when that happens, and I think it just makes it worse because my patience wears thin and then it seems to take twice as long to do anything.
Well, enough of that! Let's get on with the show. This week's sketch is courtesy of Angela Walters.

Here is my interpretation:

I used the wonderful Island Oasis DSP and the Island Party stamp set. The colors I used were right from the DSP--Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive. And I also used Chocolate Chip for the coconut drink. I stamped some flowers and cut them out, and also cut out two palm leaves from the DSP and I couldn't resist adding a strip of Old Olive 1/4" grosgrain ribbon at the bottom. What do you think of the diagonal placement? I also decorated the inside of the card:

Sketch Frenzy Friday #4

Hi Stampers!

It's that time again! Sketch Frenzy Friday returns for week 4. I have been having a ball trying out different ways to show off these sketches. The first time I participated-week 2--I did traditional stamping. For week 3, I used a Simply Scrappin' kit. THIS week I decided to use My Digital Studio to create my sample. How did I do? You be the judge!!

Here's the sketch (template)

And here's my interpretation:

The colors I used are Always Artichoke, Certainly Celery, Very Vanilla, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, and Melon Mambo. The stamp image and the sentiment are from the Upsy Daisy stamp set in MDS, and I moved the opacity to a lower setting to mute the colors a little bit. I used the square punch image for the background of the three flower images, and also for the curly label punch image. The Certainly Celery rectangle is the square punch image resized and filled with color. I think MDS is a GREAT way to create a project of any kind!

Sketch Frenzy Friday!!!!!

I hope you're enjoying our Sketch Frenzy Fridays! I am certainly having fun with my creations! However, life does interfere at times! I have had a really, REALLY, busy week, so I sort of cheated with my card. Well, not really cheated--everything is current Stampin' Up! items, I just didn't do ANY STAMPING! That's right--NO stamping! I used a Simply Scrappin' kit called Happy B-day. The colors are Brocade Blue, Crushed Curry, and Ruby Red. Did you know these kits come with 6 sheets of self-adhesive die cuts? I used several from two different sheets to embellish my card. Here is the template:

And here is my card:

Enjoy! And why not join us! Post a comment with a link to your creation and I will post YOUR creation on my blog!

It's Sketch Frenzy Friday Number 2!!

Hi Everyone:

One of the GREAT things about being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is getting to hook up with other demonstrators who share your passion for stamping. As part of the Late Nite Stampers, I get to hang out with other great demonstrators and stampers who have enormous talent for this craft I love.

Recently, some of us formed a sub-group to post a sketch and samples made from that sketch every Friday. The group actually posted their first sketch and samples LAST Friday, 5/21, but due to computer circumstances beyond my control, I couldn't participate. But, being the great bunch of people they are, I have another chance to participate THIS week. Here's the template:

And here is my sample:

I am VERY happy with my sample! I used the fabulous Vintage Vogue set, which is carrying over to the new catalog in July. The cardstock colors are Whisper White and Rich Razzleberry. Inks are Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Perfect Plum, and Pale Plum. Instead of the line of same-sized brads, I used one of the filigree brads with a larger silver colored brads from the 5/16"neutrals brad assortment. For the greeting instead of using Hodge Podge hardware, I stamped the greeting on Whisper White which I punched out with the scallop oval punch, then I backed it with a scallop oval cut out with the Movers and Shapers die for the big shot. My ribbon is the Rich Razzleberry polka dot ribbon.
Don't forget to check out the other Sketch Frenzy Friday blogs. You can find a list in the left sidebar under the Sketch Frenzy Friday logo OR, see my 5/27 post just below this.

Tropical Party

Here's a card I stamped tonight with a great new stamp set, Tropical Party. This set is available in the NEW Summer Mini catalog which runs from May 1 thru August 31. I also used the another stamp set in the mini--In a Word and the Island Oasis Designer Series Paper. The colors in the paper are Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Rose Red, Tempting Turquoise, and So Saffron. I used Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, and Whisper White cardstock along with Rose Red and Pumpkin Pie Ink. Two of the flowers are stamped and cut out (my friend Mary Brown would be so proud of me!) and the third flower is cut from the DSP. I also used the Lattice embossing folder from the Summer mini on a piece of Whisper White cardstock. I couldn't lay my hands on my Rose Red ribbon, so I cut a 1" wide piece of Rose Red cardstock and angled the end to look like a cut ribbon. This was so much fun to make! Royal Blog Tour Starts Now!

Hello everyone and welcome to my castle on the Royal Blog Tour! I have three projects that I created for this tour. I chose the stamp set Asian Artistry, which is a Level 2 hostess set in the current catalog. If you host a workshop and your workshop total is at least $300, you can choose this set for FREE! It's a gorgeous set and I love the simplicity and the nature theme of the set. Here's the whole set of projects: a 4-1/4"X5" card, a Fancy Favor box and a small scallop circle gift card which fits in the Fancy Favor box

For all three projects I used Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive textured card stock, Very Vanilla card stock, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, and Basic Black Stampin' Write marker, and Rich Razzleberry polka dot ribbon. On the large card, I embossed a piece of Old Olive card stock with the Square Lattice embossing folder which will be available in the Summer Mini catalog beginning May 1. Here's a picture of the inside of the card--I love to dress up the inside!

And finally--here's a picture of the Fancy Favor box and the small scalloped card--both made with the Big Shot--and both a lot of fun!!

I hope you enjoyed my projects! Thanks for visiting! And don't forget to look for the clues needed to sign up for the Big Shot drawing!! To go to the next blog, click on the glass slippers.
