Hi Stampers:

It's that awesome day of the week again-FRIDAY!!  And time for more Sketch Frenzy Friday!  Today we have a cute sketch from Maria:
And here is my card based on Maria's great sketch:
As I was making my card, I imagined that my little witch was playing hide and seek and disappeared leaving her boots and hat behind.  I decorated her boots with a little bling-rhinestones, and she is hiding behind the Spooky greeting and her Googly eyes are bugging out trying to see what's going on.  Her little frog friend is waiting for her to reappear!

Here are the supplies I used:
  • Stamp sets:  Wicked Cool-118738-wood mount, 120600-clear mount, pg 28 2012-2013 Catalog, Toxic Treats-127898-wood mount, 127901-clear mount, pg 25 Holiday Catalog

Sketch Frenzy Friday---Do you hate spiders?

Hi Stampers:

It's that time again--Sketch Frenzy Friday is on a roll--a blog roll that is! And mine is all about spiders today!
Here's the sketch from Tammy Fite:

Cute, isn't it? And now you must answer my question: Do you hate spiders??? I'll bet you won't hate THIS spider:

He's a digitally created spider using My Digital Studio. I seem to be on a roll with Halloween cards made in MDS. The background paper in this creation is from a NEW download, Spooky Treats Designer Template and it's pattern 1 of the Designer Series Paper in this template. The spider and eeek! stamps are from the Spooky Bingo Bits stamp brush set. I DO have the wood mount stamp set of the same name, but being extra busy this week, I decided to go with MDS. The colors in this card are Basic Black, Whisper White, and Lucky Limeade--love that green!

So now that you're spooked, hop on on over to MARIA'S BLOG to see her creation. And remember: you can ALWAYS go to our SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY BLOG and play along with us!

Enjoy!

I Just HAD to do it!

Hi Stampers!

What did I just HAVE to do? Why order some new downloads for My Digital Studio. I ordered the Nite Owl DSP images, so I made a new Halloween Card in MDS:
The colors I used for this in addition to the Nite Owl DSP layer are Concord Crush, Pumpkin Pie, and Basic Black for the stamp images, which come from the Eat, Drink, and Be Scary stamp brush set.
Enjoy!

Halloween Treats

Hi Stampers:
I mentioned in yesterday's post that I was going to be participating in several vendor fairs over the next couple of months. One of them is on Oct. 30--if you live in Cincinnati, please come! It will be at Brookwood Retirement on Reed Hartman Hwy, 1/2 mile north of I-275. The hours are 10 am to 2 pm. All of the vendors will have treats at their tables for the children who come in costume, so they can have an early Trick or Treat time. Here are some treats I will have at my table:

And here are two close ups of the two different ones I have made--so far:

Sadly, the two stamps I used are no longer available. However, the paper I used IS available. On the Boo Treat, I used the smaller scallop circle and Basic Black card stock, Whisper White card stock, and some of the Night Owl DSP from the Holiday mini catalog. For the Spider treat, I used the larger scallop circle punch with Basic Black card stock. I also used Whisper White and Pumpkin Pie card stock with two of the oval punches. Oh--the candy used is (are?) York Peppermint Patties.

Enjoy!

Sketch Frenzy Friday-9-17-10 Halloween is Coming!

Hi Stampers!

Well, it is just past the middle of September, and fall is definitely coming. And you know what that means--all those wonderful Fallodays! Starting with Halloween. I know it's a little early, but among stampers, it's not TOO early to start planning those Halloween projects. So that's what I did for this week's sketch. The sketch was created by Kathryne Knowles. Since I have been seeing so many Halloween cards on the web, I decided to create one also. Here is my card made with My Digital Studio. I followed the sketch pretty strictly except for the background paper. The card base is Basic Black. The DSP layer is from the Cast-a-Spell and it is Pattern 5. This DSP is only available in MDS. The circle on top of the DSP is in Daffodil Delight. The scalloped circle is Whisper White. The stamp image is Eat, Drink and Be Scary and the saying is from Pumpkin Patch. Both stamp brush sets are only available in MDS--they are retired as stamp sets. But that is the beauty of MDS--these stamp set images are available for ever! The witches hat image and the sentiment are both in Basic Black and the top layer of the modern label punch is Whisper White. The bottom layer is Basic Black.
