SFF082914 For All Things

Hi Stampers:

Once again it's time for our Sketch Frenzy Friday challenge.  I am the designer this week:
Lots of room to add all kinds of elements to your creation.  Here's the way I went:
I used the awesome stamp set For All Things which is now available for everyone to order from the Holiday Catalog.  My colors are:  Cajun Craze, Blackberry Bliss, Crushed Curry and Whisper White.  Accessories:  Autumn Wooden Elements, Color Me Autumn Washi Tape, Linen Thread, Circles Framelits, Perfect Polka Dot TIEF.

The first picture I took of my card was this:
I thought it needed something else, so I added the wooden element and the linen thread.

Now, click on over to our SFF Blog and check out what the other designers did.  And don't forget to play along.  We want to see what you do with this sketch.

Enjoy!

Sketch Frenzy Friday--Botanical Gazette Nature Walk

Hi Stampers: It's finally Friday! This week has seemed two weeks long instead of 1 week! The sketch for SFF this week is brought to you by ME! and here it is: You would think that since it was MY sketch that I would have had an idea of what to do with it--nope. It didn't work that way. I HAD pretty much decided that I would use the Botanical Gazette DSP and the Nature Walk stamp set, but beyond that, not an idea was forthcoming! I played around with it for OVER TWO HOURS! Finally, I came up with this:

All of my workshops in March featured the Springtime Vintage DSP (which I LOVE!) (I will share some cards I created with it later.) I was ready for a change and I have seen A LOT of beautiful samples using Botanical Gazette. As you can tell, I used 4 of the patterns: branches of berries, I think that's what they are; the reverse side of that for the scalloped edge, which is the Early Espresso on Cherry Cobbler print-punched with the Eyelet border punch--I really wanted to use the scallop punch, but it decided to hide from me; the light Marina Mist print with bird cages on it; and the Early Espresso with script print. The card base is Marina Mist. I tied a piece of Marina Mist satin ribbon around it and hung one of the Trinkets keys from a piece of linen thread. The sentiment is from Silhouette Sentiments and the no. 147 is from Nature Walk. The sentiments were stamped in Early Espresso on Very Vanilla cardstock and the frame is one of the Four Frames stamps sneak peek. I colored the little bird with Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Pastel, then attached one of the small clips to the corner. I am guilty of not using accessories--I hoard them! So I made up for some of that with two on this card!

Well that's it! I hope you like it. Please join us with your creation posted to our blog, SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY. For the next stop on our mini blog tour, click HERE for Melinda's blog.

Enjoy!
