Sketch Frenzy Friday 10-19-12

Hi Stampers:

Another great day for Sketch FrenzyFriday!  Although we are supposed to get showers in my area, Fridays are always the best.  And speaking of the best--how about this sketch created by Sharon:

And here is my card--created in My Digital Studio:

I was definitely in an autumn mood when I created this!  Colors used are Always Artichoke, Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie, MORE Mustard, and Chocolate chip.  My Digital Studio has a lot of punches that in the paper and ink world are stamps. The leaf and acorn shapes are punches, but in the ink and paper version, they are stamps in the Wonderfall stamp set (w-128084, c-128087), and you can cut them out with the Autumn Accents Bigz die (127812) and your Big Shot (113439).  I love working with both ink and paper AND My Digital Studio!  If you need supplies to create this card, click on my Order button in the left sidebar.

With our new format, you can go to the SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY BLOG, where you can see all the designers' creations and click on them to visit their blogs.  We love it when you visit us!!!

Enjoy!

Sketch Frenzy Friday--A Simple Card

Hi Stampers:

It's Friday again and you know what that means--Sketch Frenzy Friday!!! Here's our sketch from the fabulous Patrice Herrera:

I loved Patrice's sketch, but of course, added my own twist to it. I started by creating my card in MDS. As you know, I do quite a few cards in MDS. Here is what I did:

  • Spook Central More Mustard with dots DSP--without rounded corners (my twist!)

  • Two tags, enlarged and turned at an angle per the sketch

  • Two strips of Chocolate Chip Satin ribbon made slightly narrower along with a smaller Chocolate Chip bow

  • Sentiment from the Fabulous Phrases stamp brush set in Chocolate Chip

  • Three Chocolate Chip brads

Really, the only change I made was not using a layer with rounded corners, otherwise, it's pretty true to the sketch!

Cards for the Box-Part 2

Hi Stampers!

Well, I am continuing with posting the cards I made for the fund raiser silent auction box of cards. Here are cards 3 and 4:

The card on the left is Old Olive with a layer of ANOTHER wonderful pattern from the Autumn Spice DSP on top. The sentiment is from Word Play, inked with Old Olive, Cajun Craze, and Early Espresso Stampin' Write Markers. Again, I used Pumpin Pie ribbon, but this time it is the 5/8" grosgrain ribbon.
The card on the right is a base of More Mustard embossed with the Square Lattice embossing folder . The sentiment is from another hostess set--the Level 2 set called Cute by the Inch. I punched it out to with the 1-1/4" punch, then cut a piece of 1-1/2" X 1-1/2" of the light colored striped Autumn Spice DSP to mount it on. The Ribbon is Very Vanilla Satin ribbon.
Enjoy!

SFF 10-1-10 I'm on a Fall Kick!

Hi Stampers:

Another great sketch this week for Sketch Frenzy Friday. This sketch is from Angela Walters:

And here is my card from the sketch:

I used the wonderful Autumn Spice DSP from the Holiday mini. I LOVE this paper! It is thick and has a slight texture to it. The colors are Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Old Olive, and Early Espresso. I introduced another color--Pumpkin Pie to make the pumpkin.

SFF 9-24-10--Halloween Again!!

Hi Stampers!

A quick post this week--and another card created in MDS!!
Here's the sketch by Tina Taves:

And here is my MDS card:
I borrowed the color palette from the new Autumn Spice DSP in the Holiday mini--pg.13. That DSP coordinates with Cajun Craze, Old Olive, More Mustard, and Early Espresso. I used all the colors for my card except the Early Espresso. The DSP on the card is from the selections in MDS. The stamp set called Pumpkin Patch is no longer available as a rubber and wood stamp set, but is still available in MDS. It's one of my favorites.
