Sketch Frenzy Friday-More Halloween Treats

Hi Stampers:

It's that awesome day of the week again-FRIDAY!!  And time for more Sketch Frenzy Friday!  Today we have a cute sketch from Maria:
And here is my card based on Maria's great sketch:
As I was making my card, I imagined that my little witch was playing hide and seek and disappeared leaving her boots and hat behind.  I decorated her boots with a little bling-rhinestones, and she is hiding behind the Spooky greeting and her Googly eyes are bugging out trying to see what's going on.  Her little frog friend is waiting for her to reappear!

Here are the supplies I used:
  • Stamp sets:  Wicked Cool-118738-wood mount, 120600-clear mount, pg 28 2012-2013 Catalog, Toxic Treats-127898-wood mount, 127901-clear mount, pg 25 Holiday Catalog
  • Card stock:  Basic Black-121045 pg. 156 2012-2013 Catalog, Tangerine Tango-111349 pg 153 2012-2013 Catalog, Naturals White-102316, pg 160 2012-2013 Catalog
  • Howlstooth and Scaringbone Designer series paper-126906, pg 24 Holiday Catalog
  • Ink:  Stazon Jet Black-101406, pg. 157 2012-2013 Catalog, Lucky Limeade-126984, pg 152 2012-2013 Catalog, Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Write Marker-120970, pg 153 2012-2013 Catalog and Lucky Limeade Stampin' Write Marker-123002 pg. 152 2012-2013 Catalog (2011-2013 In Color Markers)
  • Accessories:  Rhinestone Basic Jewels-119246, pg 175 2012-2013 Catalog, Googlies-127539, pg 27, 2012 Holiday Catalog
We're changing up our little blog tour a bit:  I am linking you back to the SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY BLOG.  There you will see thumbnails of the design team sketch interpretations, AND you will ber able to upload your own creations there also.

Cards for the Box-Part 1

Hi Stampers:

Here are the first two cards I put in the box for the fund raiser silent auction that I talked about in my post yesterday:

For the card on the left, I used Old Olive for the card base and overlaid a piece of the small leaf print from the FABULOUS Autumn Spice Designer Series Paper. I scalloped the edge of it with the Eyelet Border Punch. The "Thanks" is from one of the stamps in the Level 1 Hostess Set, Afterthoughts--which can be yours with a workshop or an order totaling a minimum of $150. There is another line of text on the stamp, but I chose not to use it, so I inked just the "Thanks" with an Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker. The ribbon is the 3/8" Pumpkin Pie ribbon. Although Pumpkin Pie is not one of the colors that is supposed to coordinate with Autumn Spice I think it works very well!

The card on the right is one of the other designs from Autumn Spice DSP, and it's the same one I used for the box bottom. The butterfly is punched from the extra-large Butterfly punch using another one of the prints from Autumn Spice. I also punched a strip of the paper with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch. The sentiment is from a 2010 SAB set that is, sadly, no longer available. I stamped it on a piece of Naturals White cardstock and punched it out using the Scalloped Oval puncxh and mounted it on a piece of Old Olive cardstock punched out with the Wide Oval punch.

Stay tuned on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for more of the cards.

Enjoy!

Sketch Frenzy Friday!!

Hi Stampers!

Sketch Frenzy Friday is here again. Our sketch this week was created by Tess Davis, and it is LOVELY. Here it is:

And here is my interpretation:

I left off the flourish next to the greeting, and also added buttons on the left. I think it came out pretty good! What do you think?

You can link your own take on the sketch by going to our NEW SFF BLOG--HERE. You can see the sketch, create your own sample and upload it using the linky on the blog. To go to Melinda's blog, click HERE.
