Sketch Frenzy Friday-06-14-13

Hi Stampers:

It's Friday and time for our Sketch Frenzy Friday challenge.  Here's our sketch, which was created by Sharon:

I loved this sketch!  It's cute, isn't it?  Here's what I did with it:

I decided to use some of the Quatrefancy DSP with something other than the Mosaic Madness stamp set, so that led me to choose colors from that DSP.  Here's what I used:
  • Pool Party and Whisper White card stock
  • Strawberry Slush and Early Espresso Classic Ink Pads
  • Quatrefancy DSP and some Gingham Garden DSP (leaves behind the flowers)
  • Flower Shop Clear Mount Stamp Set
  • Label Something Clear Mount Stamp Set (greeting)
  • Designer Label Punch (full size and cut down a little for the greeting)
  • Daffodil Delight Seam Binding Ribbon
  • Large Basic Pearls
All of our designers have done a terrific job interpreting this sketch and you can see all of them HEREPlease play along with us, won't you?  You'll find the Linky tool on the web site!

Enjoy!

Sketch Frenzy Friday 05-31-13 Today is the Day!!

Hi Stampers:

Yes, it's Friday and time for a Sketch Frenzy Friday, BUT it is also New Catalog Day!!  That's right--the NEW 2013-2014 Stampin' Up! catalog goes live at noon Mountain Daylight Time.  There are SO many new items in it that I just LOVE, and I am going to show you two of them with my card today.  But first, let's take look at the sketch, created by Patrice:
Great Sketch!!  And here's what I did with it:
I kept it pretty simple--haven't added a sentiment yet--but I think it looks elegant.  Here's what I used:
  • Pool Party Core'dinations card stock
  • Whisper White card stock
  • NEW Wildflower Meadow stamp
  • NEW Simply Pressed Clay and Blossom Mold--the three little flowers above the Pool Party oval
  • So Saffron, Island Indigo, Pool Party, and Wild Wasabi Stampin' Write Markers
  • Labels Collection Framelits
  • Designer Frames Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
  • Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
  • Extra Large Oval Punch
  • Stampin' Sanding Block (with the extra fine paper).  I lightly sanded the Pool Party card stock after embossing.
Don't forget--you can join us in our creative journey.  All you have to do is create something following the sketch--it doesn't have to be a card--and upload it to the SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY blog!  And don't forget to check out the other designers' creations!

Enjoy!

Sketch Frenzy Friday 05-10-13

Hi Stampers!

I'm back!!  Did you miss me??  Things have been hectic around my house, and I have been doing several vendor and craft shows, so stamping time has been limited.  However, I did find some time to stamp a card for this week's Sketch Frenzy Friday, based on the sketch by Jennifer:
I think this sketch is deceptively simple.  There are many ways it can be interpreted, and you will see several different ones from our designers.  Here's mine:
First, let me apologize for the way my card leans.  The best place to take pictures of my creations is in my kitchen, and I set my card on top of the paper towel spindle, not realizing that it would shift when I took the picture.  I tried to correct it in my FastStone program, but it still leans.  Oh well!

Here's what I used:
  • This and That Designer Series Paper
  • Pool Party card stock
  • This and That Designer Washi tape--the Crumb Cake with the diagonal stripe on top--with banner tails cut into the ends.
  • Retiring 2011-2013 In Color brads in Pool Party and Calypso Coral
I have really fallen in love with the This and That items, and have used them a LOT lately.  I will post some additional items I created in the next few days.

Now, go back to the SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY BLOG and check out the other designers' creations.  Remember, we have everyone posted on the blog, for your convenience in viewing all of them.  Please join us with your own creation.  You'll find the Linky tool on the blog.

Enjoy!
