Sketch Frenzy Friday 122812

Hi Stampers!

Boy, have I been AWOL!!!  My last post was Nov 12!!!  I think Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the several craft and vendor shows in which I participated sapped my strength.  But I'm back now and plan to post regularly!

Of course it's time for another Sketch Frenzy Friday creation.  Here is the sketch, created by Sharon Wheet:
This is such a cute sketch!  As you know, a sketch can be interpretated strictly or used as a starting point.  So my creation in My Digital Studio this week is definitely a loose interpretation of the sketch.  Take a look:

So where did I get the idea????  Why from My Digital Studio itself!!!  There is a designer card that looks very similar to this, and it even has the same greeting.  I changed the background paper, the snowflake, the strip of DSP and added the ribbon.  The colors are Baja Breeze, Real Red, Garden Green, Chocolate Chip, and Whisper White.  For the background snowflakes, I changed the opacity to 50%, so that they would be less prominent than the heart, mittens, and ribbon.  I would love to know what you think of my little project, so feel free to leave a comment if you like!

As you know, I am linking you back to the SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY BLOG, where you can see what the other designers have created.  I have already looked at them, and they are wonderful!!

Sketch Frenzy Friday 102612

Hi Stampers:

It's Friday (as if you didn't know!) and it's time for Sketch Frenzy Friday.  Today is cool and rainy here in Southwest Ohio, so a good day to stay in and stamp!!!  Here's our sketch, created by the awesome Tammy Fite:

Love the banners in this sketch, but I have a lot of problems getting the tails cut correctly, especially if  I layer them on another piece of cardstock.  Here's my card for the sketch:

If you're thinking the top part of the card is lighter than the bottom, it is.  Just as I snapped the picture, the sun decided to drop into the upper window in my sun room, so I got a slightly off kilter color.
Here's what I used:
  • Joyous Celebrations stamp set:  (w)128066, (c)128069
  • Snow Festival DSP:  126908
  • Cherry Cobbler 8½"X11" cardstock:  119685
  • Whisper White 8½"X11" cardstock:  100730
  • 1¾ circle punch:  119850
  • scallop circle punch:  127811
  • Gumball Green Stitched Satin Ribbon:  126848
  • Stampin' Dimensionals:  104430
  • Rhinestone Basic Jewels:  119246

Sketch Frenzy Friday 10-19-12

Hi Stampers:

Another great day for Sketch FrenzyFriday!  Although we are supposed to get showers in my area, Fridays are always the best.  And speaking of the best--how about this sketch created by Sharon:

And here is my card--created in My Digital Studio:

I was definitely in an autumn mood when I created this!  Colors used are Always Artichoke, Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie, MORE Mustard, and Chocolate chip.  My Digital Studio has a lot of punches that in the paper and ink world are stamps. The leaf and acorn shapes are punches, but in the ink and paper version, they are stamps in the Wonderfall stamp set (w-128084, c-128087), and you can cut them out with the Autumn Accents Bigz die (127812) and your Big Shot (113439).  I love working with both ink and paper AND My Digital Studio!  If you need supplies to create this card, click on my Order button in the left sidebar.

With our new format, you can go to the SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY BLOG, where you can see all the designers' creations and click on them to visit their blogs.  We love it when you visit us!!!

Enjoy!

Hi Stampers:

It's that awesome day of the week again-FRIDAY!!  And time for more Sketch Frenzy Friday!  Today we have a cute sketch from Maria:
And here is my card based on Maria's great sketch:
As I was making my card, I imagined that my little witch was playing hide and seek and disappeared leaving her boots and hat behind.  I decorated her boots with a little bling-rhinestones, and she is hiding behind the Spooky greeting and her Googly eyes are bugging out trying to see what's going on.  Her little frog friend is waiting for her to reappear!
