Stocking Builder Punch Not Carrying Over!?!?!?!

Hi Stampers:

Stampin' Up! has announced that the Stocking Builder Punch, available in the Holiday Mini, will not be carried over to the 2012-2013 Idea Book & Catalog. What that means is that after January 3, 2012 (or while supplies last up to Jan. 3rd), this fabulous punch will no longer be available. If you've been sitting on the fence about whether or not to get it, it's time to make a decision. You may have seen that this punch is great, not only for stockings and baby booties, but turn it upside down and you have little ponies, reindeer or whatever you can dream up.

So, keep this in mind as the Holiday Mini Catalog winds down--it's only another week before it's gone! The item # is 124095. This punch coordinates with a really cute stamp set called Stitched Stockings (Clear Mount- 123784 or Wood Mount-123782). This set will be gone, as well, after January 3rd. Here are some pictures of the punch and the stamp set:

Sketch Frenzy Friday--MERRY CHRISTMAS

Hi Stampers:

Here's our sketch this week by Robbie Rubala:

And here's my card--created in MDS:

Somehow, I just couldn't do curved lines in MDS, so I modified it a bit. Hope you enjoy it! Now, click over to MARIA'S BLOG to see what she has created. You can start at the beginning of the tour by clicking on the SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY BLOG.

Sketch Frenzy Friday--Days are Growing Shorter!

Hi Stampers:

And I don't just mean because it's the change of seasons. It seems like the closer we get to Christmas, the fewer hours in the day to accomplish anything!! Could it be I am trying to cram too much into each day?!?! Maybe!! Well, bright colors make me feel better, and our sketch and my creation both feature bright seasonal colors. Here's the sketch by Maria:

And here's my MDS creation:

Pretty self explanatory and an almost exact copy of the sketch layout: Deck the Halls DSP, tag punch, button in Soft Suede, sentiment and ribbon knot in Whisper White.

OK. Enough from me. Let's go see how Maria interpreted her own sketch--she is also the next stop on our mini blog tour. Or, if you prefer, start at the beginning by clicking HERE for the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog.

Sketch Frenzy Friday--It's Christmas!!!

Hi Stampers:

Yes it's Christmas! And I am posting my first Christmas Card of the Season! It just so happens that the sketch is my design (it was my turn to supply the sketch)! However, this time, the card actually came BEFORE the sketch. I designed the card for a swap with other SU! demos, and liked the design so much, that I decided to use the sketch for my contribution to SFF for today. Here is my sketch:

And here is my card:

As you can tell, I didn't exactly follow the sketch! I did not include the ribbon and tag, and also did not put a sentiment on it. I was thinking that a sentiment would block the embossing folder snowflakes, so left it off. Here is the recipe:

  • Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Whisper White Cardstock

  • A Beautiful Season stamp set

  • Stazon Jet Black and Early Espresso Inks

  • Bird and holly colored with Pastels and Blender pen

  • Scallop Oval die and Big Shot

  • Cherry Cobbler quilted satin ribbon

  • Northern Flurry embossing folder

That's all from me today! Let's click over to MARIA'S BLOG to see what she's created. And you can always up load your own creation or start the mini blog tour at the SFF BLOG.

Sketch Frenzy Friday

Hi Stampers:

It's that time of year--Thanksgiving is less than a week away; I have a boat load of company coming that day expecting a turkey, all the trimmings, AND a clean house! What was I THINKING 20 years ago when I volunteered to host the dinner?!?!?!? Oh well, I guess I'll put away my stamps and inks for a little while and concentrate on prepping for my family. In the meantime, here is our sketch for today, courtesy of Deb Currier:

Love the sketch! But I don't love my card! Sometimes creation is a challenge, especially when you have other things on your mind. Anyway, MDS to the rescue, and here is my card:

Wish I knew what Deb used for her background text--I would have put it on my card!!
OK. Enough from me. Now go visit MARIA's BLOG to see what she has done. Why not upload your creation on our SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY BLOG.

Sketch Frenzy Friday-11-11-11

Hi Stampers:

WOW! What an awesome date on which to have SFF! And here is the awesome sketch by Angela Walters:

And here is my interpretation:

I created it completely in My Digital Studio! I love purples, so I used Cottage Garden DSP--retired in the catalog, but forever available in MDS! Colors are: Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Concord Crush (the ribbon) and Whisper White.

Now it's time to click over to MARIA'S BLOG. Please join us--go over to our MAIN BLOG and add your own creation!

Sketch Frenzy Friday--Tina's Sketch

Hi Stampers:

My life has taken a left turn to busyness and worry! My sister, Karen has been in the hospital in critical condition for 3 months and I have been so busy keeping updated on her condition, that I have not had time to stamp! Well, almost no time. I was able to attend the Stampin' Up! Regional Seminar in Louisville, KY last Friday and had a blast stamping there, and also catching up with old friends. One of my down line went with me, and also another demonstrator who is a friend of my down line. With all this, I have been bad and have not done my contribution for this week's mini blog hop. I am posting the sketch and a link to MARIA'S BLOG and our SFF BLOG.

Here's the sketch, created by Tina Munzke:

Why not do your own creation and post it on our main blog for the world to enjoy!
