SFF071814--Flowers for a Birthday

Hi Stampers:

Today is Sketch Frenzy Friday day, and we have a GREAT sketch for you, designed by Jennifer Kay:
And here is my creation:
I was not sure how I was going to make this work, because these flowers are large.  So I worked it out by staggering them.  The stamp set is Beautiful Bunch and it has a matching punch for the flowers.  For the centers, I punched out the dots and the daisy-like center with the 7/8" scallop circle punch.  The splat center, I fussy cut with my paper snips.  The top flower is stamped with Lost Lagoon, the middle flower with Hello Honey, and the bottom flower with Tangelo Twist.  The centers were all stamped with Blackberry Bliss.  The card base is Lost Lagoon--5-1/2" X 8-1/2."  The next layer is Hello Honey and the top layer is Whisper White.  All the flowers, the centers, and the Whisper White top layer are popped up with dimensionals.  The greeting is stamped with Tangelo Twist and it is from the photopolymer stamp set, Endless Birthday Wishes.  This particular stamp set is available while supplies last, and is VERY popular.  If you want it, I suggest you order it soon!

Here is the inside of my card:

SFF071114 Tag a Birthday

Hi Stampers:

Friday comes along way too fast sometimes!  Not that I'm complaining.  I had good intentions to post more this week, but never got around to it.  Sigh...Well, at least I have a post for today.  It's Sketch Frenzy Friday time, and we have a great sketch from Patrice:
Such a cute sketch!  Here's what I did with it:
For this creation, I used 3 different stamp sets:  Kinda Eclectic, Endless Birthday Wishes, Bordering Blooms.  Paper is the new Mossy Meadow, Crumb Cake, and Whisper White.  Ink: Mossy Meadow and Tangelo Twist.  I used the Scallop Tag Topper Punch, Fringe Scissors, and 5/8" Natural Chevron Ribbon, and a few tiny pearls on the butterfly.  I love this set and have made 3 different cards from it, using basically the same same colors with a few changes.

I also stamped the inside of the card:

SFF070414--Happy 4th of July!!

Hi Stampers:

It's July 4th--like I had to tell you that!!  We have another great sketch today, created by ME!  Here's the sketch:
And here's what I did with it:
Isn't this little pinwheel cute?  It was made from the My Paper Pumkin kit for June, called Pinwheel Party.  This little kit came with supplies to make 24 pinwheels--including cute red and white striped straws, gray baker's twine, treat bags, white banners, and a set of 3 stamps, two of which I used on my card.  I cut 1/2" off each side of the pinwheel to make it a little smaller for my card.  I used Whisper White and Real Red card stocks, and cut a Night of Navy piece from the new Maritime DSP to layer between the white and red.  The stamps in the kit are the "celebrate", line of stars, and one that says "party".  The pinwheel is held together with a large silver colored brad, and there are also glue dots included in the kit to put everything together.  The pinwheels are pre-cut and punched and come in 3 different two-sided patterns.  If you are a My Paper Pumpkin subscriber, you can purchase a refill kit and get everything except the ink and stamps, to create these little cuties!  If you're not a subscriber, contact me and I'll help you get signed up and ready to create!

In the spirit of July 4th, besides me, 2 of the other designers, Elizabeth and Patrice, used the same kit to create their cards.  Go to the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog and check out the other cards by our designers.  And don't forget to add your creation!

SUDSOL Blog Tour--Masculine Cards Rule!

Hi Stampers:

Welcome to the SUDSOL Blog Tour!  Are you a Stampin' Up! demonstrator?  I so, then you NEED to join SUDSOL!  So what is SUDSOL?  The letters stand for Simply Unique Demonstrators Sharing On Line.  It was founded by and for Stampin' Up! demonstrators.  We have LOADS of files, creative samples, patterns, business helps, discussions, videos, etc., all designed and created to help SU! demonstrators run their businesses successfully.  We also have two business coaches--John Sanpietro and Ronda Wade to help us keep on the straight and true business line to a PROFITABLE business.  Of, course one of my favorite things about SUDSOL is the Samples Gallery. Although I don't have a lot of time to contribute samples as much as I would like, I avidly look at EVERYTHING that is uploaded and/or sent to SUDSOL.  That gives me lots of inspiration.

Since I ALWAYS need more masculine cards, I decided for this tour to show some cards I created with the new Maritime Designer Series Paper and the new Sea Street stamp set.  The coordinating colors of the DSP are Night of Navy, Real Red, Whisper White, and Coastal Cabana.

My first card is a CASE (Copy And Share Everything).  One of our SUDSOL Challenges each week is CASE of something from Stampin' Success, a bi-monthly magazine only for Stampin' Up! demonstrators, or from the catalog. If you want to see the inspiration for this card, go to pg. 55 of the 2014-2015 Inspire Create Share Catalog.

My next card is from a recent sketch challenge at SUDSOL:

And my third card is just because!
All simple, duplicateable cards.  Just what we like at SUDSOL!!
