Well, it's Sketch Frenzy Friday again and this time I have a NO STAMPING CARD for you. It didn't start out that way, in fact I didn't even realize it had no stamping until 2 hours after I finished it and looked at it again! More details in a minute, but first the sketch:
The sketch is by Robbie Rubala--thanks for a great sketch, Robbie!
Here's my card:
I used the Springtime Vintage DSP at all my workshops in March, and I also bought SEVERAL packages of it, so I still have some. I am crossing my fingers that it carries over to the new catalog in July! The card base is Baja Breeze, then a layer of Very Vanilla popped up with dimensionals. On the VV layer, I have a piece of the Springtime Vintage DSP, a Pear Pizzazz triangle corner punched with the Pinking Hearts Border punch and a strip of Pear Pizzazz at the bottom also also punched with the Pinking Hearts border punch. I thought it needed to be jazzed up a bit, so I added the pearls in the corner of the triangle and the strip of them at the top of the Pear Pizzazz strip at the bottom. To stay with the circle element on Robbie's sketch, I cut out one of the large roses from a piece of the DSP and to make it stand out a bit, I sponged the edges with Soft Suede ink, added a pearl in the middle and popped it up with dimensionals. Then I saw the Vanilla Rosettes sitting on my table and decided to add one to the bottom of the card! No sentiment, now, but I will probably use it for my 91-year old mother-in-law for Mother's Day. Here's a look at the popped up rose from the side:

This is gorgeous!!! The feel of it is so vintage-y!! Love it!!
This is really cute! I love the pinking hearts border punch! And the line of pearls, too! What a great idea to cut out a rose from the dsp itself!
Love how you interpreted my sketch! Love the border punch and the pearls.
Robbie
Very pretty! No stamping sometimes works just fine with all the fun stuff we have choose from1!
