Hi Stampers:

I have been involved in a battle with my laptop for two weeks and every time I try to post a picture, it does weird things and locks up, so I can't post the sketch or my creation.  Please continue the tour with MARIA or go to our SFF BLOG to get the sketch and see the other great creations by our wonderful designers!

Summer Smooches Easy Card

Hi Stampers:

It's Friday, Friday, Friday and time for another Sketch Frenzy Friday mini blog hop.  Our sketch today is from Deb Currier.  It's what I would call a clean and simple sketch.  Here it is:
I think it is a really cute sketch, but it took me a while to create my card.  Going into it, I knew I wanted to use the Summer Smooches items--they are SO BRIGHT AND COLORFUL I just couldn't resist.  I love ALL the designer paper and the stamp set, and the brads.  So much fun!  Here's my creation:
I took this picture with my phone!  I have a new BlackBerry phone with a GREAT camera so I decided to try it out on this picture for my blog.  Hope it looks OK!  For the card I used:
  • Tempting Turquoise base
  • White dots on red piece of Summer Smooches DSP
  • Rich Razzleberry, Tempting Turquoise, Real Red, and Lucky Limeade Stampin' Write Markers
  • Daffodil Delight card stock
  • Summer Smooches fabric covered brad
  • Petite Pairs stamp set for the sentiment.
Well, now, enough from me.  Let's go see what Maria's up to with this sketch.  Click HERE for her blog.  At any time, if you get lost, you can always go to our SFF BLOGAnd remember, you can upload your own creation on the main blog.  We'd love to have you join us!

Enjoy!

Summer Cards Here We Come!

Hi Stampers:

Yesterday, I did a workshop at my friend Mary's house, and although there was a low turnout, we had a blast! I wanted to share with you the two projects we did. The first one was a card:

This card makes me SO HAPPY! I didn't come up with the design--it is a direct case from another demonstrator on our Stampin' Connection web site. This is a website for demonstrators, with many THOUSANDS of samples. You never have to be original if you don't want to be! This card uses SEVERAL items from the Occasions Mini--which expires on 4-30-12:

  • Twitterpated DSP

  • Blossom Punch

  • Mixed Bunch and Tea Shoppe stamp sets

  • Hat pins

  • Adorning Accents Edgelits die

  • Adorning Accents Textured impressions embossing folder

  • Pleated ribbon

  • Basic Jewels pearls from the big IBC

The colors I used are Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze, Island Indigo

The second project was a variation on the the 2-4-6-8 box with a window cut with the smallest Labels Framelit die:

Same colors, same DSP, with two added accessories: Twitterpated Buttons from the Occasions mini and clips from the IBC.

Do you need the supplies to make these two projects? Click on the Shop Now button on my blog and you will be taken to my Stampin' Up! business web site where you can order!

Enjoy!

Sketch Frenzy Friday--It's a Lovely Summer Smooches MDS Day

Hi Stampers:

The weather around here has been lovely and VERY MUCH like summer. We have broken or tied 5 temperature records here in the Cincinnati area this week. We've also had lots of sun and breezes! Lovely weather, but too much too soon, I say! What happened to spring? It feels like summer! Thus, my creation today, using the Summer Smooches MDS downloads. Demonstrators got to order this sneak peak from the new catalog during March (don't you want to be a demo to get all this neat stuff?) Customers will be able to order these items during April. So on with the show! Here is our sketch this week, created by Patrice for Tammy B:

And here is my creation:

Almost everything I used is from the Summer Smooches download. The exceptions are the punches--rounded square, square, scallop border, oval, and 5 petal flower; the flower in the middle, which is from the Mixed Bunch stamp brush set; and the Daffodil Delight taffeta ribbon. The word "relax" in the oval punch shape is from the Summer Smooches stamp brush set. I love this card--very bright and fun and has two of my favorite colors--Rich Razzleberry and Real Red!

Now let's click over to MARIA'S BLOG to see what she has created this week. And PLEASE join us! We'd love to see your creation posted on our main blog, SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY.

Enjoy!
