Hello Stampers! It's been a Long Time...

Hello Stampers!

It's been a long time since I posted!  What can I say?  Life sometimes gets in the way and doesn't leave time for fun things!

Today I am sharing with you a card I made in August, 2017.  This card uses items from the Whole Lot of Lovely suite found on pages 86-87 in the 2017-2018 Annual Catalog.  And speaking of the catalog, let me know if you would like a copy of the catalog.  I am happy to mail you one!  If you already have a demonstrator that you work with, please contact that person--she/he would be happy to hear from you.  If you don't have a demonstrator, I would love to be your demonstrator and earn your business!

Here is the card:

Here are the items I used:

Hello Stampers and Fellow Demonstrators:

The big day has arrived!  The SUDSOL Blog Tour is going strong.  If you're starting here, Welcome!  You will find lots of awesome projects and lots of information about SUDSOL as you hop through the blogs.
I have been a member of SUDSOL for about 13 years.  This is an awesome organization for Stampin' Up! demonstrators.  If you have an up line, this site will enhance your knowledge about all things stamping and Stampin' Up!  If you don't have an up line, then SUDSOL can be that missing gap in your stamping knowledge and business.  Some of the things that SUDSOL provides are:
  • Business Builder Tasks
  • StamPINboard to post and look at thousands of stamping projects.
  • Tutorials--written and illustrated AND videos
  • Business Articles
  • Techniques
  • Sharing and Caring
Today, with my first project, I am focusing on a technique you can find on SUDSOL:  Rock and Roll.  I chose the Birthday Fiesta stamp set, Fiesta Time Framelits, and Festive Birthday DSP.  Everything about this suite of products just screams HAPPY!  Here's my Birthday Fiesta birthday card:
You'll notice that I used the rock and roll technique on the cactus.  After inking the stamp with Emerald Envy ink, I stamped off, then rolled the edges of the stamp in the Emerald Envy ink pad to give the cactus a more realistic look.  I also created a little flower--one of the stamps in the set--with Peekaboo peach and attached it to the longer arm of the cactus.  If you've ever seen one of these saguaro cacti in real life, you know how majestic they are.  This stamp set reminds me of good times in Arizona, visiting the Saguaro National Park.
My next project uses the same stamps and paper to create a little sticky note holder.  Projects like these with measurements can be found on SUDSOL.  I never need to wonder where I put instructions for a project I want to use.
My third project is a card I completed for a new catalog stamp sets swap hosted by SUDSOL:

This is another example of what SUDSOl offers:  swaps created by talented demonstrators.  And you know you'll get great samples to use in your business.

I hope you have enjoyed my samples today.  Now continue on to see more great projects!

SFF092515 - A card with no stamping

Hello Friends!

It's Friday and time once again for Sketch Frenzy Friday
Have you ever made a card with absolutely no stamping on it?  Well, that's what I made today!  Here is our sketch:
And here's my card:
With all the wonderful punches, framelits, embellishments, ribbon and cord, and embossing folders from Stampin' Up! it is REALLY EASY to create a card with no stamping.  Now, maybe you would consider the sponging I did on the Whisper White oval as stamping, but other than that little bit of ink, there is no stamping on this card!
Here's what I used:
  • Daffodil Delight Cardstock
  • Whisper White Cardstock
  • Into the Woods DSP
  • Tip Top Taupe ink pad
  • Stampin' Sponge
  • Acorn Punch
  • Gold cord
  • Triple Banner Punch
Thanks for stopping by today!  Now use the link at the top of the post to see what the other designers have created!

SFF090415--Another MDS Creation

Hello friends!

I know, I know!  My Digital Studio is no longer a Stampin' Up! product.  However, I still have it and use it, so this week when I ran out of time to stamp a card for Sketch Frenzy Friday, I decided to use MDS to create a virtual card.
Here's the sketch by Carol Read:

SFF082815--Tip Top Taupe, Black, and White

Hello Friends!

It's Friday and time for another Sketch Frenzy Friday challenge.  Our sketch today was created by Jennifer Kay:
This sketch could go in many different directions.  Here's what I did:
At first, I wasn't sure if I would like the new In Color, Tip Top Taupe, but I have actually used this color almost as much as I have Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush.  Today, I have used it with Basic Black and Whisper White.  All three of these colors are in the Go Wild Designer Series Paper Stack.  This paper stack has some animal prints, as well as other prints.  It is DEFINITELY a great combination of neutrals!
The sentiment is from a stamp set that will be in the Holiday Catalog, which goes live on Sept.1, called Acorny Thank You.

That's it for me today.  Hop on over to the SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY BLOG to see what the other designers have created.  You can also show us your take on this sketch.  Just use the InLinkz tool on the blog

SFF082115-My first Halloween card of 2015

Hello friends!

Welcome to Friday and a new Sketch Frenzy Friday challenge.  This week, I am the sketch creator:
Here's what I did with my sketch:

It's my first Halloween card of 2015!  I used the Howl-O-Ween Treat stamp set from the new Holiday catalog.  This set is only available to demonstrators right now, but will be available to everyone on Sept. 1.
In addition to the stamp set, other new items are the washi tape and the Black Glimmer Paper.  This glimmer paper is super sparkly and I love it!  I also added some sequins from the Metallics Sequin Assortment, and the Trick or Treat is stamped with the NEW Archival Basic Black ink!  The doily is from the gold and silver doilies in the Annual catalog.
That's it from me today.  Hop on over to the SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY BLOG and check out what the other designers have created.  You can also add your own creation.  Show us how you would use this template!

Enjoy!
