Sketch Frenzy Friday 08-30-13

Hi Stampers:

It's Friday and time for Sketch Frenzy Friday.  I have been absent for a while from posting, and I am glad to be back creating with YOU!  Our sketch this week was created by the very talented Deb Currier:

Such a wonderful sketch!  And here's what I did with it:
Yes, I turned it on the side, and did not use the Baker's Twine (although I could have--I decided later, but it was too late!).

Here's what I used:
  • Crushed Curry(#131199), Soft Suede(#115318), and Whisper White(#100730) card stock
  • Sweater Weather DSP--from the Holiday Catalog (#132184)
  • Truly Grateful Stamp Set--from the Holiday Catalog(Clear-#131733, Wood-#131730)
  • 1-1/4" Burlap Ribbon--from the Holiday Catalog (#132140)
  • Crumb Cake(#126975), Soft Suede(#126978), and Crushed Curry(#131173) Classic Stampin' Ink Pads
  • Soft Suede Stampin' Write Marker(not available individually)
And, just because I thought the colors looked a little washed out in this picture, I am attaching another picture with a slightly different view:
Don't forget:  All the designers' cards can be seen on the SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY BLOG and you can add your take on our sketch by using the Linky tool also located there.  Please join us!

Enjoy!

Sketch Frenzy Friday 08-02-13

Hi Stampers:

Today is the first Friday in August, and as with all Fridays, it's a Sketch Frenzy Friday!  We have an interesting sketch this week from Patrice:

Well, I wasn't sure what I was going to do with this sketch, but I had the following items on my desk from a prior project:  Gingham Garden Washi Tape, Island Indigo and Whisper White card stock, Banner Greetings--hostess item--stamp set, Elegant Butterfly Punch, Basic Rhinestones, Delicate Designs Embossing folder.  So here is what I did with these items to make a card based on this sketch:

This picture is not the best.  On Wednesday, we had no internet due to failure of the cable to our house, so I had to use my cell phone to take a picture of the card so that it could be posted in our SFF folder and on the SFF blog, since we work ahead of the actual day it's posted.  So the internet was restored today, and hopefully it will stay up for a while.  I HATE IT when there is no internet, which also means no cable TV or home phone, since they all use the same cable.  I wish the sparkle of the rhinestones showed up a little better--the butterfly is so sparkly in real life.  I think the element with the butterfly looks like a package with a butterfly bow!  What do you think?

Now it's time to direct you to our main SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY BLOGYou will find all the designers' contributions to this week's sketch AND also, you can add your own creation!  We would LOVE to see what you create using this sketch!

Enjoy!
