Sketch Frenzy Friday!!

Hi Stampers!

Sketch Frenzy Friday is here again. Our sketch this week was created by Tess Davis, and it is LOVELY. Here it is:

And here is my interpretation:

I left off the flourish next to the greeting, and also added buttons on the left. I think it came out pretty good! What do you think?

You can link your own take on the sketch by going to our NEW SFF BLOG--HERE. You can see the sketch, create your own sample and upload it using the linky on the blog. To go to Melinda's blog, click HERE.

Sketch Frenzy Friday-I'm the Designer!

Hi Stampers:
It's Friday again, and you know what that means--another sketch, another card. This time I am the sketch designer! Here's my sketch:

The sketch is pretty simple and so is my card. I needed a birthday card for my mother-in-law to give to a friend who is celebrating her 80th birthday on Saturday. Betty-the birthday girl--doesn't look or act her age, but I chose to make her card to match her sweet personality. And here it is:
For this card I used Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, and Whisper White card stock, the Big Shot, the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, the Movers and Shapers die base with the Curly Label die, our new 1/2" crochet lace trim. The stamp set is a hostess set called Cute by the inch. I thought the card came out perfectly, and it will be perfect for Betty's birthday!

Sketch Frenzy Friday

Hi Stampers:

We have another great sketch for SFF this week, presented by Kelli Waters:

It's a great sketch, and once again I used MDS to create a sample:

I used one of our luscious new colors Daffodil Delight for my card base color. The circle and the corner punch are Chocolate Chip DSP in the Villa pattern. The scallop punch across the card like a ribbon is another new color, Pear Pizzazz, and the sentiment is also Chocolate Chip.

Sketch Frenzy Friday--I'm LOVING IT!!

Hi Stampers!

It's another SFF and have I got a BEE-YOO-TI-FUL card for you today! First our sketch created by Sharon Field:

I deviated a little bit from the sketch: turned it 90 degrees and I don't have two blocks in the middle---only one. But, I am SO HAPPY with how this turned out:

I used ALL NEW colors and some new accessories on this card--except for Very Vanilla cardstock--it's not new. My colors are: Daffodil Delight, Peach Parfait, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, and Early Espresso. The butterfiles and the sentiment are from a brand new set called Butterfly Prints. I used a new embossing folder called Vintage Wallpaper on the Daffodil Delight card front and the dotted embossing folder (the name escapes me right now) on the square of Very Vanilla cardstock underneath the butterflies. One of the stamps in the set is the butterfly body and I stamped the body on all the butterflies, but when I punched them out with the butterfly punch, the antennae got cut off, so they look a little wierd! The three butterflies in the set are stamped with Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz, and Blushing Bride on Very Vanilla cardstock. the sentiment, which is also in the set, is stamped with Early Espresso on Very Vanilla cardstock and punched out with the scalloped oval punch, and layered on a piece of Peach Parfait cut with the scalloped oval die in the Movers and Shapers die set. I also used our NEW pearls in the upper right corner. These pearls have adhesive on them, so they are easy to stick where you want them to stick! I think the colors scream SUMMER and I love the combination I created! Hope you do, too!

Sketch Frenzy Friday--Such Fun!

Greetings Stampers!

It's Sketch Frenzy Friday once again, and once again I have used My Digital Studio (MDS) to create my project.

Here's the sketch by Connie Smith:

Isn't it great? Well, I LOVE the sketch, but my interpretation of it?--not so much. Here it is:
I seem to be stuck in a pinks and purples rut these days! My colors are Rose Red, Regal Rose, Very Vanilla, Rich Razzleberry, and Chocolate Chip. I used punch images: Boho Blossoms large, 1.25" circle, 1.25" square, Modern Label. Stamp images used are the Always circle, the label from Favorite Things, and the Thankful from Calendar Basics kit. Pumpkin Pie in the Summer?!?!?!?

Well sure! It's been hotter than a bandit's pistol (my mother used to say this!) here in Cincinnati, but yesterday and today were a little cooler. Made me think that summer will soon be over and then autumn and PUMPKIN PIE. So I thought I would post this little card I made about a month ago for a swap:

I used the Watercolor Trio stamp set from the Summer Mini (it goes to Aug. 31), Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, and Whisper White card stock, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive inks. I sponged the edges of the Whisper White and rounded all the edges with the corner rounder punch, and Old Olive 1/4" grosgrain ribbon. I thought it turned out very well!

Enjoy!
