SFF092515 - A card with no stamping

Hello Friends!

It's Friday and time once again for Sketch Frenzy Friday
Have you ever made a card with absolutely no stamping on it?  Well, that's what I made today!  Here is our sketch:
And here's my card:
With all the wonderful punches, framelits, embellishments, ribbon and cord, and embossing folders from Stampin' Up! it is REALLY EASY to create a card with no stamping.  Now, maybe you would consider the sponging I did on the Whisper White oval as stamping, but other than that little bit of ink, there is no stamping on this card!
Here's what I used:
  • Daffodil Delight Cardstock
  • Whisper White Cardstock
  • Into the Woods DSP
  • Tip Top Taupe ink pad
  • Stampin' Sponge
  • Acorn Punch
  • Gold cord
  • Triple Banner Punch

SFF090415--Another MDS Creation

Hello friends!

I know, I know!  My Digital Studio is no longer a Stampin' Up! product.  However, I still have it and use it, so this week when I ran out of time to stamp a card for Sketch Frenzy Friday, I decided to use MDS to create a virtual card.
Here's the sketch by Carol Read:
Here's my creation:

SFF082815--Tip Top Taupe, Black, and White

Hello Friends!

It's Friday and time for another Sketch Frenzy Friday challenge.  Our sketch today was created by Jennifer Kay:
This sketch could go in many different directions.  Here's what I did:
At first, I wasn't sure if I would like the new In Color, Tip Top Taupe, but I have actually used this color almost as much as I have Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush.  Today, I have used it with Basic Black and Whisper White.  All three of these colors are in the Go Wild Designer Series Paper Stack.  This paper stack has some animal prints, as well as other prints.  It is DEFINITELY a great combination of neutrals!
The sentiment is from a stamp set that will be in the Holiday Catalog, which goes live on Sept.1, called Acorny Thank You.

That's it for me today.  Hop on over to the SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY BLOG to see what the other designers have created.  You can also show us your take on this sketch.  Just use the InLinkz tool on the blog

SFF082115-My first Halloween card of 2015

Hello friends!

Welcome to Friday and a new Sketch Frenzy Friday challenge.  This week, I am the sketch creator:
Here's what I did with my sketch:

It's my first Halloween card of 2015!  I used the Howl-O-Ween Treat stamp set from the new Holiday catalog.  This set is only available to demonstrators right now, but will be available to everyone on Sept. 1.
In addition to the stamp set, other new items are the washi tape and the Black Glimmer Paper.  This glimmer paper is super sparkly and I love it!  I also added some sequins from the Metallics Sequin Assortment, and the Trick or Treat is stamped with the NEW Archival Basic Black ink!  The doily is from the gold and silver doilies in the Annual catalog.
That's it from me today.  Hop on over to the SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY BLOG and check out what the other designers have created.  You can also add your own creation.  Show us how you would use this template!

SFF080715

Hi:

Time once again for Sketch Frenzy Friday!  Here's our sketch from Carol Read:
Here's my creation:
I used Pink Pirouette for the card base, a strip of English Garden DSP, silver 1/8" ribbon, silver doily from the gold and silver doilies package, a Pink Pirouette 2-1/2" circle, a 2-3/8" scallop circle punch on which I stamped Just for You from the Watercolor Words stamp set.  I also stamped the large and small flowers from the same set--the large flower as the background on the top half of the card, and the small one on Pink Pirouette and punched with the 1" circle punch.  Then I popped a pearl in the middle.

Hop over to the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog to check out what the other designers have created, and add your own creation so we can see what you've done with the sketch.

Enjoy!

SFF073115--Quick and Easy!

Hello everyone:

I am excited to be back in my stamping studio after a little hiatus, and today's SFF sketch is perfect for a little quick and easy card.  No stamping; just wonderful DSP and accessories!  So here's the sketch from Karen Gibson:
Here is my little quick and easy card:
The card base is Hello Honey, 8-1/2" X 5-1/2"
On top of that is a layer of Whisper White cut 5-1/4" X 4"
The awesome English Garden DSP is 3-3/4" X 3-3/4" for the Hello Honey flowered piece and 1" X 3-3/4" for the Mossy Meadow with white dots piece.
I scattered a few pearls on the Mossy Meadow piece and added one of the Expressions Wooden Elements for the greeting.

I hope you enjoyed my card.  Don't forget to check out what the other design team members have created on our SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY BLOG.

SFF070315--Happy 4th of July

Hello Stampers!

Another Friday has rolled around and it's time for another Sketch Frenzy Friday sketch challenge.  Once again, I designed the sketch:
This is what I did with it:
I seriously love to design cards for any and every holiday, and I especially like the Fourth of July because it calls for red, white, blue, and bling!  My colors are Real Red, Night of Navy, Whisper White, and Silver Glimmer.  Accessories:  Stars Framelits, Medium Star Punch, Small Star Punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punches, Silver Sequin Trim, rhinestones, Silver Thread, Doilies, Silver 1/8" ribbon, Decorative Dots TIEF, Triple Banner Punch.  I also decorated the inside with some of the Silver Glimmer Paper stars.  Oh!  Forgot to tell you I made a square 5-1/4" X 5-1/4" card.

I hope you enjoyed my little creation.  Now hop on over to the SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY BLOG and see what the other design team members have created.

SFF062615--New In Colors

Hello!!

Welcome to my blog!!  It's time for another Sketch Frenzy Friday challenge.  This week I was the sketch creator:
Here's what I did with my sketch:
I am really liking the new In Colors, and I used three of them--Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush, Tip Top Taupe--along with Whisper White.  The stamp set is Floral Wings, one of the new Host sets.  It is a photopolymer stamp set, which makes it very easy to line up the images when you're stamping.  I kind of went crazy with the Basic Pearls, putting one on each flower--13 total!  Here's what I did for the inside:
I stamped one flower and used the coordinating Cherry on Top Washi Tape.  It really adds a nice design on the inside.

SFF061215--Cherry on Top meets Tin of Cards Stamps

Hello:

It's Friday again and time for another Sketch Frenzy Friday.  Today, our sketch was created by Jennifer Kay:
Here's what I created:

I am sure you know by now that we have a new catalog and lots of new goodies to play with.  Today, I used the very sweet Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack, Cucumber Crush card stock, Watercolor Wonder card stock, and Whisper White card stock.  The sentiment is from the Tin of Cards stamp set, which goes along with the Tin of Cards card Kit.  I couldn't resist using some of the cute 2015-2017 In Color Blossom Accents, and the luscious Cucumber Crush Dotted Lace Ribbon.  I was a little hesitant about using 3 Blossom Accents AND ribbon, but after I got the card together, I really liked it!  What do you think?  Too much?

SFF052215 - One of My Favorite Colors

Hello, Hello, Hello!!
I have been MIA for a while due to other obligations, but I am BACK!  And we have a great sketch for you, created by Diana Eichfeld:
I love this sketch!  Diana did a great job designing this.  Here is my interpretation of her wonderful sketch:
The flower is from Crazy About You and is stamped in Blackberry Bliss and punched out with the coordinating Flower Medallion Punch.  I love, love, love this color and will miss it so much when it goes away next June.  My color choices were inspired by the brand new (available on June 2) Bohemian Designer Series Paper.  The colors are very rich and intense and include Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleerry, Bermuda Bay, Delightful Dijon (a new In Color also debuting on June 2), Island Indigo, and Very Vanilla.  I chose to use both sides of one of the sheets.  One side has the chevron stripes, and the other side is the Island Indigo with little dots of the lighter colors.  I also used a the Pretty Petals TIEF, which, sadly, is going away on June 2.  I bought it and think I used it only twice, sigh... The sentiment is also from Crazy About You, and is stamped in Blackberry Bliss and Island Indigo.  All of this was mounted on a base of Blackberry Bliss, which you can hardly see in this picture, since I put the card up against a dark background.  As I am looking at the picture, I am thinking I should have added a pearl to the flower center,  Maybe I'll do that before I send it off.

Now that I have finished rambling, click on over the the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog and check out what the other designers have done with the sketch.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Enjoy!

SFF041715

Hello Stamping Friends:

Another Friday, another Sketch Frenzy Friday.  How has your week been?  Mine has been busy.  I am singing in a concert today and tomorrow that is being done by my church choir combined with another church choir.  We are performing Requiem in D Minor by Gabriel Faure and a selection of favorite church anthems.  Needless to say, we have been rehearsing long and hard!  I am so glad our sketch this week was simpler than last week's!!  And here is the sketch Patrice Herrera provided for us:
Here is my card:
Although I like the card overall, I am not sure about the Bermuda Bay sequins in the middle.  I thought I would try to tie a bow, but that may have been a big mistake!  Anyway, here's what I used:
  • Whisper White card stock
  • Calypso Coral card stock
  • Birthday Bash Designer Series Paper
  • Lovely Lace TIEF
  • Bermuda Bay sequins
I did not stamp a sentiment because I haven't decided which one to use!

Our blog, Sketch Frenzy Friday, has more samples from our designers, so go check it out!

Enjoy!!
